Studio Time
After the very successful show at the Schuylkill Center, I’m glad to be getting back to the studio working on new recordings. Megan and I have been hard at work on the new Gemini Wolf album Infinite Sand Dunes. Still no release date set, but we’re plugging away with warm, grainy sounds. The recordings sound very different from anything we’ve done in the past so it will be interesting to see what the final results are like.

I’ll also been working on the Pangaea opera. I’m mostly in MIDI land with this so far, recording various chord changes and arrangements of ideas as pliable MIDI notes. Also in the works are a remix for the Paper Masques song “Vodka and Bottletop” (my favorite track from 2009’s Tell the Ghosts It’s Suppertime). I’ve got a huge backlog of live recordings to out to the internet including Mikronesia shows from August, the Aeolus concert, SHARE from September and (maybe) a jam session with Pandar, Helena Espvall and Derek Moench (on theremin!). Also this week I’ll be having a session with two vocalists who may do some work on the two year in the making Mikronesia album, Sick with Silence.

Speaking of SHARE, the next SHARE is set for Sunday October 24 at <fidget> space. 7pm-10pm. More info at facebook.com/SHAREPhilly
