NYC Day 2
Thanks to all the people who came out to Glasslands. It was great to see Emily and Bilwa! Thanks to the great performances by Ana Lola Roman and Behavior. Glasslands is an awesome venue tucked away in the docks of Williamsburg, great people and great vibes.
I played for a long time (as is often the case when you play between four acts). I have audio tapes of my sets, so I’ll post excerpts soon. I’m really loving my APC40 controller. It’s really opened up my ability to improvise with loops, MIDI and effects in Live. Hopefully this Saturday I’ll get all the monome emulator software I’ve been struggling with figured out at the in/out fest (see below).
Today I’m staying with my friends Jason and Emmalee in Park Slope. I might check out PS-1 or the Tim Burton exibit at the Moma.
Tomorrow (12/12), all you music tech nerds in the NYC area should check out the in/out fest. It’s all day workshops in Max, Live, Arduindo, processing, music software and hard ware. It’s at the Tank from noon til midnight.
